Votanica Share for Outlook

Turn email attachments into secure, self-expiring download links — straight from the Outlook compose window. No sign-in needed.

⬇ Download the add-in manifest

This downloads a small .xml file — that's what you add to Outlook.

Install it (one time)

  1. Download the manifest file using the button above.
  2. In Outlook on the web or new Outlook: open Settings → General → Manage add-ins (or Get Add-ins → My add-ins).
  3. Choose Add a custom add-in → Add from file, then select the downloaded votanica-share-outlook.xml.
  4. Confirm. A Votanica Share button now appears when you compose a new email.

In classic Outlook for Windows the equivalent path is Home → Get Add-ins → My add-ins → Add a custom add-in → Add from file. Org admins can also deploy it for everyone from the Microsoft 365 admin center.

Use it

  1. Compose a new email and click Votanica Share in the ribbon.
  2. Pick a file, set how long the link should live, and optionally add a password or a download limit.
  3. Click Create link & insert — the secure link drops into your email. The file is deleted automatically when it expires.

Note: an expiring link reliably stops future access, but anyone who opens it while it's live can still save their own copy — it is not DRM.
